We had an amazing trip and the van was such a luxury!!!! It was so nice to take our time along the road to Hana and just be out in nature completely disconnected! We stayed at Waianapanapa state park, Kipahulu, and Hosmer grove. Made for a nice relaxed trip with the longest day of driving from Kipahulu to Hosmer. We stopped for lunch in Hana on the way down and back at Kilo’s kitchen and Braddahs Hut and both were absolutely amazing local food trucks! The van comes stocked with almost everything you could need including headlamp, TP, French press, blankets, and pillows. One thing to note is inside amenities such as lights, sink/drinking water, toilet, and fan are ran by a solar powered battery so don’t expect power in the early morning hours l! We were always able to charge up after a couple hours of daylight just good to note if you use the restroom overnight don’t expect it to flush! Can’t wait to come back and book again with Lindsay!

A unique way to see Maui! Lindsay was a great host, so friendly and flexible! The van had just what we needed, minimal and efficient for our 3 night adventure. Let me reiterate what all the other reviews say - THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO EXPLORE MAUI!
After looking at all of the hotel and rental car options, my partner and I decided to combine the two expenses into one and get a camper-van for our entire one week stay in Maui. I’m so glad we did! It truly was so convenient and had everything we needed. We cooked, showered, and slept comfortably.
Lindsay was a delightful host! She met us at the airport for a reasonable fee. She showed us everything we needed to know about the van in about 15 minutes and then we were off!
We booked the first two nights at Camp Olowalu, snagged Hosmer campground on the third night, then started off on the road to Hana and camped at Waianapanapa campground, then continued on the road to Hana the next day and ended at the Kipahulu campground. The last two nights we headed back to Camp Olowalu. The state park campsite book up a month in advance!

Lindsay was a fantastic host. She wants every guest to experience the island and van life as a local while on vacation. She met us at the airport and at drop off to make super convenient. Bed was comfortable and had pillow options. Beach chairs, towels, camp stove, cooking utensils...everything you need to experience van life by just showing up and driving away (minus a quick stop at the grocery store). Stop at the farm stands and pick up avocados and apple bananas!

This is the best way to experience Maui, hands down. We can't say enough good things about our stay in the van.
We have been to Maui a few times before but had never stayed in a van. At this point, we won't be going back to hotel life! We've totally been converted to van people. Being able to travel the island freely and be ready for anything at a moment's notice was incredible. The van was clean, super well equipped, and easy to drive. It's just the right size too where it is small enough to park and drive the road to Hana but big enough for us to sleep / stand comfortably (we're both tall-ish at 5'10 and 6'0).
Lindsay was great from start to finish - her campsite guidance, walk through, check in / drop off process, and food recommendations were all great. We wouldn't change a thing about our stay. Thank you, Lindsay!

I didn't believe either. All the 5 star reviews are true. From booking to booking out of town Lindsay is there for you.From the start she was helpful with recommendations for campgrounds, places to eat and things to do. She is very responsive. She has put her heart and soul into her now fleet of three vans which she designs & builds out herself.
The van has everything you need, a comfortable bed, water for making your French press coffee on the two burner propane stove, beach chairs & umbrella , a shower for a beach rinse off & the all important electric cooler to keep your food & beverages cold.
My Itinerary included 3 nights @ Camp Olowalu . The campsites are a little close but the campground is clean & very well maintained w/ surprisingly clean bathrooms & hot showers. 1 night @ a HipCamp in The Forest, 3 nights @ Kipahulu,highly recommended, 1 night@ the Black Sand Beach, was supposed to be 2. 1 night at the BS Beach is all you need if that. 1 night at one of Lindsay's lots

The van had everything we needed for our 5 night stay, and more! Beach chairs, umbrella and towels are included. Cold drinks whenever you want cuz there's a fridge! Rinse off sand and salt water in the privacy of your own shower. No need to use porta potties on road to Hana! Make hot coffee as you wait for sunrise on Halaekala. The van has wifi !!! All of these perks are priceless and helped make our vacation more relaxing and enjoyable. We had a 10 day camper van rental from Lindsay and it was perfect. We had zero complaints. The bed is very comfortable and the linens and towels were great. Five stars!! If you are hesitating for any reason, don’t. My husband and I spent almost 2 weeks on the island and had the camper van for the first 5 days! We would have gladly had it the entirety of our trip if it was available. We have rented camper vans before and this was by far the best experience! This is the perfect way to explore Maui. We really enjoyed staying in the Van for our 4 days in Maui. It is so convenient and allows you the freedom to explore different parts of the island without having to drive back to your hotel every night. Just a find a nearby campsite and set up there. Lindsay is an awesome host. She was very helpful and was even able to get us set up at a private campsite near Haleakala when we weren’t able to get a spot at Hosmer grove. We were originally planning to stay in a hotel/ condo, but are so glad that we chose to stay in Lindsay’s camper van.

Do not think - just book!!! This van was absolute the highlight of our trip to Hawaii. It was such a unique experience to live a life on wheels. Park wherever and camp out wherever. The van ran like a dream and has literally everything you could (and didn't) think of! Clothesline in the back for wet swimsuits, beach chairs, wine opener, fridge.. everything! I do recommend bringing a bluetooth speaker so you don't have to run the car to listen to music. Extremely easy to drive with a back up camera. Never ran out of solar power overnight. We parked beachside every night for sunset - DREAMY!
We booked a car camp spot at Camp Olowalu which was a great set up. Highly recommend. Would say if you plan on doing the Road to Hana, while doable in the van I'm sure (others have), we were very grateful we decided to rent a Jeep for the day instead for the tight turns and smaller parking areas along the journey!
Lindsay was also so sweet and helpful with recommendations. Extremely professional and friendly - she even helped us out by giving us a ride in her car after we dropped the van off.

Lindsay is such an AMAZING host!! From day dot, she was super friendly and provided clear communication and helpful recommendations on potential campsites in Maui (as these tend to fill up super quickly). When we picked up the RV, she was very accomdating with the time and place. She gave us a comprehensive rundown of the RV - the equipment, mechanics and how it all works inside and out. The RV itself is FANTASTIC, your own mini-home on wheels and it is thoughtfully equipped with everything you might ever need (electric refrigerator, kitchenette with filtered water, comfy bed, fluffy towels and more)!! Spotless clean!! You can certainly appreciate the amount of care and effort that Lindsay puts into her RV! The van was everything we hoped for. From Hana to Kapalua, it lived up to all expectations. Tired after lunch? Pull up to the beach, open the doors and listen to the waves. My husband is 6’3” tall and fit just fine in the comfy bed. Lindsay was the nicest, most accommodating person in the world. Where to begin? Lindsay is a true gem and a wealth of information. Her advice was invaluable from months before the vacation all the way through the end. She made sure we knew what to expect, helped us with a place to camp for Road to Hana when I made an oops and waited too late for Waianapanapa State Park, watched our flight to ensure pick up was seamless, and allowed us to do airport pick up then drop off at our next stay.
The van is equipped with EVERYTHING you need. We thought we’d be savvy and bring extras (like a travel mirror, phone holder for GPS, and even a clothesline – Lindsay was always a step ahead and had everything). The onboard bathroom was a literal lifesaver when you’re at the top of Haleakala Summit and nature calls with no other bathroom in sight. The onboard shower made visiting beaches so much better since not all of them have facilities. Boiling water with the onboard stove for coffee literally anywhere you wanted? Priceless.
Additionally, The solar-powered battery was SO good. We had the fan on all night, every night, and charged electronics and we never came close to running out of juice. The dimmable lighting in the van is top notch, and we loved having the sink.
Pro-tip: pop open the vent hood for the fan and make sure the air is blowing the right way. We usually had to adjust this every night. Also, close your doors and use the screens when it gets dark or else you’ll have a lot of little bugs enjoying the van too (nothing bad, just little gnats)!
We managed to drive this van for over six hundred miles (Road to Hana and all) and it ran like a dream. It is easier to drive than you might think, and our van had a back-up camera which made it ALL the better.
The van will be the source of so many looks of envy, and if you back up to the ocean and let your doors open people will flock to you with compliments and questions.
FYI to prospective planners - our home base was Camp Olowalu for most nights and we loved it. The hot showers and bathrooms 10/10. (Hosmer Grove for one, Caroline in Hana for one – I recommend these both too).

Don't want to spend on both a hotel and overpriced car rental? Voila, Suite Vans Maui!
Well designed to fit 2 people, we took it around Maui comfortably. It was my second time driving an over-sized vehicle, but got use to the wide turns quickly, and Lindsay gives a great run-down of approach to the vehicle.
We did not take it down Road to Hana, 1 because of my novice in driving but 2 I am a local from Oahu and did not want to annoy the locals going down the path with my slowness and caution in turns. went as far as Twin Falls and drove some bits around Haiku no problem.
Best part was pulling up to beaches and just watching the sunset from the comfort of your bed enjoy a cup of tea or French press coffee.
The solar roof makes charging and using electronics at night a breeze.

A one word summary of our experience: Phenomenal. Lindsay is the consummate host: she responded quickly to messages, picked us up at the airport, and supported us during our trip with tips and recommendations. The van is a home-away-from-home with thoughtful finishes throughout like a slide out table, curtains, and a ceiling fan. “Lindsay’s van was such a cool way to explore the island for the first few days of our trip! I’d been to Maui before., but my boyfriend hadn’t and it gave us a really unique way to explore lots of sites each day without having to sacrifice creature comforts or go back to a condo or hotel room to eat, shower etc. The van is fully equipped with running water, a toilet, shower, and kitchen space to prepare and store your food including a freezer. We stayed at Camp Olowalu where it can get pretty windy, and we loved opening the window and falling asleep to the breeze every night. “Just the best way to see the island in a short amount of time! We stayed in the van five nights. Three at Olowalu, one at Wai’anapanapa, and one at Hosmer Grove. The camper was a perfect little mobile home base with everything you could want or need. We used the shower to wash our feet after beach days and the toilet was a nice little hideaway touch for when you didn’t want to leave the van in the middle of the night. We mostly ate takeout (gotta eat as much local food as we can on vacation) but we did make a few things on the stove and the fridge had plenty of space if cooking meals is the route you decide to take. 10/10 would recommend!!! Also Lindsay was amazing! We didn’t really need to check in but if you did she would be very responsive and helpful.”

“As far as Lindsay goes, there is a reason she is a “Super Host”, she is quick to respond, resourceful, confident, prepared, and down-to-earth. She immediately makes you feel like you are her very first customer. When we were first reading the reviews, we were a little skeptical because all of the reviews are so good. She did not disappoint. She is outstanding! As far as her van and what it adds to your vacation...BOOK IT! We were so bummed because we missed out on the night we wanted for Waiʻānapanapa State Park. (You have to have a reservation to camp overnight). Lindsay suggested that if we did miss out, she could reach out to a contact she had in Hana who had sites on private property. That ended up being our favorite overnight spot. Ocean views with palm trees and horses, you fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean. The van drove like an SUV and was perfect for our overnight stay in Hosmer Grove. Staying there made our trek up to Haleakala so much easier than if we were to have stayed in a hotel. We were able to wake up at 3:30am and head up the mountain to watch the sunrise. We were able to have breakfast inside the van and if we had to use the facilities, it was right there in our van. Lindsay also offered up a big blanket that we could use while watching the sunrise because it gets super cold. We did use the blanket. We also traveled the Road to Hana in the van and it drove amazingly well on the narrow roadway. Again, having facilities on board made this an absolute blessing, especially during COVID. We didn’t have to go into the crowded rest stops. When we stayed in Hana, we used the outdoor shower. We were expecting the water to be ice cold, it was a perfect temperature and it got the job done. We used the little table and propane stove to boil water for coffee. It was so nice chilling with the two back doors open, sipping coffee, watching the sunrise and listening to the ocean. We stayed in Oahu for a few nights before visiting Maui and I slept better in the van than I did in the hotel. BOOK THIS VAN-you will not regret it. Lindsay...100% KUDOS, you are an inspiration! We were able to see almost every part of the island, always had all of our belongings with us and by staying at different camping locations we were always head of any crowds. For example, spend the day driving Hana road and exploring, stay north of Hana so you can be the first to enter Haleakala National Park and hike the Pipiwai Trail all alone. When driving back from Hana, stop at anywhere you missed on the drive up. Lindsay was extremely responsive when it came to planning so I felt like I always had insider tips. She was available each time I had a question while we were on the island. Every camping item you could possibly need fits neatly inside the van drawers and having 2 sources of running water (drinking and showering) was so convenient. I will say, cell and internet service is not available throughout the island, so plan accordingly, but for us it was great to unplug. We had everything we needed to camp near the summit of Haleakala and a couple campgrounds along the road to Hana. Getting dropped off at the airport afterwards was also very convenient. “We had a blast camping out in Lindsay’s van! It drove well and we had no issues getting to Hana. I’m 6ft and was able to sleep comfortably. We spent one night at Kipahulu campground and another at Waianapanapa. Both were awesome but we slightly preferred Kipahulu. Lindsay is super on top of it from check-in to check out and did a great job communicating with us. Definitely recommended for a unique Maui experience!”
